More About Musalaha

Principles for reconciliation

All humans encounter conflict in their lives. While a source of pain and suffering, conflicts can be a catalyst for structural change and redefine relationships, for the sake of peace and justice for all. Musalaha’s Reconciliation reflects a well-founded philosophy consisting of practical rules and ideas guiding people to take responsibility for their own actions, bringing change to the collective in collaboration with the “other.”

Salim J. Munayer
Senior Consultant Musalaha

“We forged the Musalaha Curriculum in one of the hardest places in the world, amid systemic injustice, oppression, violence, trauma, and grief. Our hard-won roadmap embodies our Six Stage Model, equipping communities globally to navigate competing political ideologies, narratives, and existential identities. It guides them toward profound academic, practical, and theological transformation for the sake of authentic and genuine reconciliation with the other.”

Eventually, my faith led me to Musalaha. My faith requires me to forgive, even though at times it feels impossible. For me, ultimate reconciliation is both nations living together in one land without any side having more privileges and religious interference.
