Course 08: Reclaiming Identity: Remembering Rightly

Explore how memory shapes identity and belonging. This course invites you to reflect on what we choose to remember, what we forget, and how telling the truth about the past can bring healing, dignity, and deeper connection.

Course available on: [Date]

Our memories, personal and collective, shape who we are and how we relate to others. This course invites you to reflect on the stories we tell, the silences we keep, and how memory is often shaped by power. You’ll explore the impact of forgetting, denial, and historical injustice, while learning how remembering truthfully can restore dignity, foster healing, and strengthen identity. In reclaiming memory, we open space for justice, connection, and deeper reconciliation.

“Musalaha gave me tools to see the other not as an enemy, but as a neighbour. It changed how I see people and how I see God.”

Eventually, my faith led me to Musalaha. My faith requires me to forgive, even though at times it feels impossible. For me, ultimate reconciliation is both nations living together in one land without any side having more privileges and religious interference.
